Lives in Dorrigo and loves the wide open skies of the plateau country.
Chris trained at the National Art School Sydney, and has had numerous solo and group exhibitions spanning a period of 39 years. She has exhibited in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, NSW North Coast and inland regions. She has won many prizes and awards over the years for her paintings, drawings and pastel works. While her subject matter covers still life, figurative and portraiture – she is best known for her landscapes of this region, winning the prestigious 2004 Bellingen Art Prize and further prizes in 2008 and 2009. Her work has been selected as a finalist in the 2007, ’08 and ’09 EMSLA Prize, Coffs Harbour and recently won the Sponsor’s Award in the Coffs City Portrait Prize.
Chris’s paintings can be found in the public collections of the National Marine Science Centre Coffs Harbour, Bellingen Shire Council, Coffs Harbour Health Campus and many private collections worldwide. She continuously exhibits at Pinnata Gallery Dorrigo, and Lake Russell Gallery Emerald Beach NSW.
