a Gillard has been entertaining audiences from Melbourne to North as far as the car can drive . She started writing with Q Miles in the ’90′s and together they produced 2 albums ” Pecking Order ” and “Rocket to the Country”.It was their song ‘ Flea’ that won a place in The Australian Music Awards in 2004. Lea then went solo and her song Mercy was unearthed by triple j Blues and roots programme in November 2006 affording her national airplay both on Triple j and ABC radio.

Lea is now travelling with a 4 piece blues outfit with Lea on vocals , keys ; Glenn Heath super slide guitar , vocals , Geoff Dixon solid blues bass and Lawrence Pastro King Boom drums.
Having just successfully emotionally Bloozed The Bellingen jazz and Blues Festival , and owing to the overwhelming response of the bulging crowd and her photo on the front page of The Coffs Coast Advocate, with the caption ‘Lea Gillard Queen Blues’, Neil Hamilton (Manger radio 2BBB ) quoted ” Live in the studio is Lea Gillard the girl who put the Blues back in the Bellingen Jazz Blues Festival’.
