Marek is a music consultant who is involved in teaching, performing, composition and teacher training, having spent over 35 years teaching music within Steiner Education. Under the banner of Chalice Music School, Marek teaches vocal skills, guitar, piano, flute, violin, percussion and a stock of unusual instruments. One of Marek’s greatest joys is performing for and with local home schoolers. Marek has received many awards for his original compositions. As a recording artist, Marek has produced 12 albums of music that are acoustic in nature and family friendly.
In January 2010 Marek was the winner of the inaugural Coffs Harbour Council Songwriting Award with his song called the “Coffs Harbour Song”. Coffs Harbour Song
On January 15th 2011 the Content CD was launched at Coffs Harbour Art Gallery along with four other albums: “Opportunity’s Knocking” – for the family, “Eyes of the Soul” – for teenagers and an older audience, and “Story-Time” and “Singalong” – for mothers and teachers of pre-school children.
