Tim Walker has had two careers working simultaneously, Hospitality & Theatre. Since leaving school to study theatre professionally and receiving a qualification in Theatre Studies. Tim went onto to establish a new innovative theatre group for the younger youth at the town where he had grown up, The Romany theatre co-op. Going on to teach Adults, writing a children’s book and two plays, and establishing one of the first T.I E [Theatre in Education] programmes, in 1986, touring with his children’s book, re written for the stage.
After spending an exciting time in Christchurch at the “Christchurch academy of preforming arts” as a Drama teacher Tim wanted to continue studying and acting himself. He arrived in Sydney at the age of 22yrs and begun the life as an actor again. He studied at the Actors Centre in Surry hills then went onto acting & performing in various theatre venues in Sydney. Tim then went north and established a Theatre company in Cairns. He then toured North Queensland with a number of Theatre productions.
In 1996, Tim met his wife to be in Sydney and together they took off to see the rest of the world. For one year, they travelled through south East Asia experiencing all the Asian culture. Upon ariving in London, Tim was ready to work again. This time with his love of the arts and his hospitality skills he landed a trainee management job with one of the largest hotel chain owners in the U.K, Surry Free Inns. This company owned 50% of a Comedy group called “Jongleurs comedy clubs”. A massive consortium with five clubs throughout England. Two years of intense training later, Tim managed the head office branch of clubs at Battersea, Clapham Junction, London. After four years in England Tim, Judy and their first child Lewyn return to Australia. Tim then took up the job of Functions and events manager at the Argyle centre in the rocks.
Two years ago Tim and the family decided to leave the bustle of Sydney and come to the mid north coast. They have since brought a home in Bonny Hills and have very easily settled into the beautiful lifestyle. The eldest boy, just starting at North haven and there second son at Cowarra Pre school, Bonny Hills.
