Indigenous Art & Culture
The Gumbaynggirr people are the original people of the Nambucca region and through their artistic and cultural practices the Nambucca region is enriched and informed. Gumbaynggirr culture is as diverse as it is intricate and this is shown and shared through painting, sculpture, textiles, jewellery, woodcrafts, poetry, story telling, performance, singing, dance and through the rejuvenation of the Gumbaynggirr language. Whether it be the unique artwork, Didgeridoos, music or literary works there is much to be admired, enjoyed and purchased.
